Working at the Heritage Centre

As an active member of the Cotswold Canals Trust I help to run the Saul Heritage Centre on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal at the Junction with The Stroudwater Canal. It is the place for people to visit, boaters, walkers, cyclists and visitors, both local and from further away to learn about their heritage, the restoration, purchase books, maps, guides, confectionary and drinks to refresh or warm up, depending on the weather!

It is now (March 2009) being refurbished with new space for meetings, updated displays of pictures and maps of the restoration as it proceeds.

The Trust needs more members. The website :

many links, so go online, volunteer and become an active
member, helping with the physical restoration (getting your
hands dirty!) or at the Heritage Centre.
