The Stroudwater as it passes through Eastington.

Photographs of the Canal in 2009
By Lois Francis

The photographs that appear here, are of the canal as it passes the village of Eastington. They were all taken in March 2009 and show the present condition of the canal.

They also show that throughout the working life of the canal, people were eager to use it as a place to live and work alongside. It has, therefore, made a huge impact on the settlement pattern of the Severn Vale area.
