Members of the Guilding family

Can you help to fill in the gaps?
Mary Guilding Rogers

My Great Grandfather, Walter Guilding, was the brother of John Guilding - Ivy Cottage, mentioned on your site.

I have rather a splendid series of photos celebrating their parents’ Golden Wedding in 1900! Included are family groups of the married sons and single portraits of John and his brother who were single.

Guilding's have been in Elmore area since 1650's...but I have been unable to trace conclusively any further back, although there were Gildings in Worcester prior to that date. My uncle, now 90, seems to think that they came over with the Guises.

The photographs I have included here, show members of the family, however, the names of the gentlemen in the photographs taken outside Ivy Cottage are not known.  I believe one of them is John Guilding.

I live in Shropshire, but with aged parents in Bristol, am often in the area and would welcome any information any of your readers may have.

Hi, could you please tell me if you have a Elizabeth Guilding in this family from Elmore. And if so did she marry a William Knight also from Elmore . As I am looking for information on both William and Elizabeth, any information would be great.

With Kind regards Kelli Chapman - nee Knight. Australia
