Visit of the Tall Ships to Gloucester Docks

Weekend of 30 and 31 May 2009
By Liz Young

The Tall Ships, Kaskelot and the Earl of Pembroke visited Gloucester on the weekend of 30 and 31 May 2009.

As the Tall Ships made their way through Saul Junction a large crowd awaited their arrival, which was at about 1.00 pm on Friday 29 May 2009.  It was a warm, sunny day.

In anticipation of this event I opened up the Heritage Centre and sold icecream and drinks to the waiting crowd of spectators.  The following day I made my way to Gloucester and took photographs of the visiting ships and others in the Docks.
