These photographs were taken at Framilode Church on a very cold, frosty day. The snow is clearly seen on the hills of the Forest of Dean. Six or seven people were on the river bank watching the tide, which came up the river at about 8.40 am and was 9.9 meters high. Six surfers were riding the bore. It is said that one of them was the Australian surfing champion!
